Terms

The agreement between you and the operator for the use of Lynix Detective.

Draft. These terms describe how the product actually behaves, but they have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have them checked before you rely on them.

The operator details have not been filled in yet. Add a legal block to auth.json (operator, street, city, country, email) and this page will render them.

What the service is

Lynix Detective is a desktop application that analyses the Git history of your own repositories and ranks the files that create the most day-to-day friction. The analysis runs on your machine. This website stores your account and, if you are signed in, the results of your scans.

Plans

The free plan includes 3 scans per calendar month. Paid plans lift that limit as described on the pricing page. The allowance resets on the first of each month, UTC.

Payment and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Manage billing in your dashboard; access continues to the end of the period already paid for. Deleting your account cancels the subscription immediately.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Availability

The desktop application keeps working whether or not this website is reachable — the analysis has no dependency on it. No particular uptime is promised for the website itself.

Liability

The analysis is a set of statistics about your repository, offered as an aid to judgement and not as advice. Decisions you take on the strength of it remain yours. Liability is limited to what applicable law does not allow to be excluded, and is unaffected for injury to life, body or health, and for intent and gross negligence.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects you, you will be told by email before the change takes effect.
